Global Director of Communications, Innovation and Brand Strategy, MINI - BMW Group
Nathan's passion lies in identifying the sweet spot where brand innovation and performance marketing can live in harmony. He currently serves as Global Communications Director at BMW Group where he oversee the marketing, communications, advertising and public relations of brand innovation and "beyond car" initiatives for MINI. This includes A/D/O, a design and creative space in Brooklyn, Shanghai (Fall 2019) and TBA European location, URBAN-X, an accelerator with over 40 startups reimagining city life, MINI Living, micro apartments for residents longing to reimagine their essential needs for space and city living, as well as other special projects for MINI.
He has over 10 years agency/consulting experience in roles ranging from a Media Planning to Creative Director and has worked on multiple, award-winning campaigns for American Express, Starbucks, NBC Comcast Universal, HBO, AMC, YouTube, Under Armour and Starwood Hotel Group to name a few. Amongst his accomplishments, the one he is most proud of was creating the first advertisement for American Express that featured a same-sex, male couple.
He is a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion and currently serves on the board of advisors for Serif, the first ever LGBTQ center for professionals that will open in 2019 in NYC.
