Diversity and Inclusion is a huge part of what YMS standS for

As the host of YMS, at Pion, we work hard to ensure our speakers, partners and attendees are representative of the world we live in. We are proud that all our global events follow The DICE Charter and are DICE certified.

DICE stands for Diversity and Inclusion at Conferences and Events and at Pion we are 100% committed to this.

How do we ensure YMS is as inclusive as possible?

  1. Our content team lives and breathes the youth marketing industry, to ensure the programme line-up and topics across the event are diverse, inclusive and shine a light on underrepresented communities. As event organisers we understand our responsibility to change the future of the industry.

  2. We are not afraid to push back on speaker submissions that are not representative of our values and commitment to The DICE Charter.

  3. Pion collaborates with a number of youth organisations and non-profits to get as many youth voices heard on stage, from as diverse a background as possible. Organisations such as Urban Heards, Word on the Curb and National Citizen Service (NCS) focus on helping under-represented young people reach their potential and get their voices heard.

  4. For every event, YMS allocates a percentage of tickets at a discounted rate to non-profits, education organisations and freelancers, plus free tickets to students and young people looking to gain experience in the marketing industry.

  5. YMS events strive to give everyone the same experience, with accessibility for all at the top of our priority list. We are working hard to improve the event experience for those with accessibility issues. We like many event organisers, always have room for improvement, and have plans in place to improve both our in-person YMS events and our website.

Want to help us make YMS as vibrant and diverse as possible?

We want to make sure that we are getting it right. If you have feedback about how we can improve we would love to hear from you so we can take that one step further in making YMS a diverse and inclusive event for all.
