Having founded his first venture at the age of 13, David has 25 years of experience as a founder in commerce, computer vision, and digital video. He has held executive leadership roles in product, technology, and sales throughout his career as an entrepreneur. David’s first startup, Avenir, was an e-barter exchange platform that facilitated the trade of excess inventory among Fortune 1000 companies. Avenir was acquired in 1998 by NASDAQ-listed ITEX. Subsequently, David built Wetoku, the video content creation tool that empowered top bloggers across North America, as well as Technorati’s annual State of the Blogosphere report. David also built the world’s first mobile vision-based augmented reality game in 2008, roughly a decade before ARKit became commercially available for iOS.
