Chris Catanese (aka Bubbledad)

Six years ago Bubbledad made his first giant bubble. Six years later he can't stop! Bubbledad (performer/educator Chris Catanese & actual dad of two NYC kids) has brought smiles to tens of thousands of kids and adults from Montauk to the Rocky Mountains with his bubble wizardry. He creates a magical bubblescape featuring square bubbles, smoke bubbles, a bubble carousel, a bubble snowman, a bubble volcano, bubbles inside of bubbles, a bubble caterpillar, bubbles that float straight up to the ceiling and a rubber chicken even burps up a bubble. Then... the bubbles go from big to giant to ginormous! Bubbledad always finishes his performances by putting several lucky audience members INSIDE a bubble! As a former educator, Bubbledad infuses a little fun science into the show and he also encourages kids to adopt a D.I.Y. attitude by experimenting with bubbles on their own.

Chris holds a master's degree in education from Bank Street College. Prior to his bubbling career he spent 23 years working at New York City non-profit organizations including the New-York Historical Society (Director of Visitor Experience), The Museum of American Finance (Director of Education) and WNYC Radio where he was a producer and performer on a weekly kids radio, New York Kids. In September of 2018, Chris was part of a group at the BubbleDaze World Bubble Conference in Caernarfon, Wales who were awarded a Guinness World Record for largest number of people making giant bubbles at the same time.
