James is currently the Chief Revenue Officer of Shakr responsible for marketing, sales, and revenue-focused partnerships.
James has over two decades of experience in digital marketing and has held a variety of executive sales and management positions at public companies and successful start-ups.
Specifically, James was the Chief Revenue Officer for The Huffington Post; Verve; Warner Bros. Digital; and Criteo (Americas.) James also spent the first decade of his career with AOL and Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment, rising to the position of Senior Vice President at both companies.
James holds a Masters from Columbia University and is an amateur drummer with the usual history of failed pop groups and embarrassing hairstyles. He lives in Manhattan with his wife where he spends his free time attempting to understand his teenage twins’ behavior.
