Director of Strategic Partnerships & Distributed Commerce
Michael Chua currently oversees Business Development for Ticketmaster’s Distributed Commerce division, responsible for off-platform ticket sales enabled through TM’s suite of content and commerce APIs. DC’s mission is to make it easy for fans to discover and purchase tickets no matter where they are, whether it be on Facebook, Spotify, Gametime, or BandsInTown apps.
Prior to Ticketmaster, Michael came from Live Nation’s Sponsorship & Media division, where he lead business development and operations for LN’s newly formed Electronic Dance Music platform, helping to grow it to a multimillion dollar advertising business through integrated brand campaigns with Smirnoff, Anheuser-Busch, 7Up, Proctor & Gamble, Activision, UPS, Uber and others.
Michael has held various other roles in live music & tech in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Macao / Hong Kong. He did his undergrad at Cornell University, and received his M.B.A at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
