Youth Culture & Gen Z Specialist
Katiy has spent the past decade advising kid’s brands, studying youth culture in markets all over the world including US, Europe, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Brasil, Mexico. Her work has allowed her to immerse into some of the most intimate topics with children, teens and families: self-esteem, playing dynamics, and the influence of social media on how teens see themselves and their peers. With a Master’s in Developmental Psychology and a concentration in Children’s Media from Columbia University, Katiy’s research centers on better understanding the role of technologies like social media, gaming, and Virtual and Augmented realities play in the cognitive and social development for adolescents today. Recent work includes creating experiences and products that align with Gen Z values for companies like Disney, Spotify, Nickelodeon, Netflix, Kik, Electronic Arts Inc., P&G, and Unilever.
